5	GN Valuation Records	2000	GN	The Valuation Records provide an inventory of the entire railroad at the time the records were created. Most reports are from the early to mid 1920’s. Items include bridges, tunnels, track structure, buildings, signaling, shops (including tools),rolling stock and locomotives. The NP Valuation Records collection consists of some 50 volumes corresponding to geographic areas of the railroad (Valuation Sections). A volume of maps shows the Valuation Sections in detail. Some records correspond to NP subsidiary companies such as the Minnesota & International and the Duluth Union Depot and Transfer Railway.	JSRH
